Some Things | Vol. 120: The world doesn't need another bicycle brand. But Omaruru does.

We’re back with Vol. 120 of Some Things, our weekly edit of culture, creativity & other things worth sharing.

  1. We wanted to start this week with an inspiring story from a city in Namibia called Omaruru. Where they make incredible, top class bicycles. Check out the full story at Onguza.com

  2. Food or fashion? Or Fooshioon? We love these visual pairings via Instagram

  3. Although Dave & Central Cee broke all sorts of records this week we can’t stop listening to Marc Rebillet in the Studio at the moment. via YouTube

  4. If you haven’t already checked out Shane Meadows’s latest masterpiece The Gallows Pole then fire up BBC iPlayer & get watching. Our favourite review suggested Meadows had ‘seemingly effortlessly – reinvented the genre’ (of period drama). via BBC iPlayer

  5. Some of our more seasoned readers might recall the original launch of the Raleigh Chopper. It was a game changer. And now it’s back! via Hypebeast

  6. And finally, PETA’s founder Ingrid Newkirk shared her plans to draw attention towards needless animal suffering & exploitation posthumously by donating various parts of her body to brands in the form of, amongst other things, a luxury handbag. via dazed

Oh & one last thing this week; we’re on the hunt for a new Studio & Resource Manager. Someone who’s meticulously organised, passionate about community building, super curious & obsessed with what makes & shapes culture. If that sounds like you, or anyone you know, then please get in touch via [email protected]
